Hi everyone,

I imagine that many of you are looking for or getting requests for videos
about the West Virginia teachers strike. The Charleston Gazette-Mail made a
pretty good 8-minute overview, which includes a summary by reporter Ryan
Quinn, plus dozens of photos from the strike and a few videos of teachers
speaking.

You can see the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gWFKyuHLLs

Quinn's article, accompanying the video, is here:
https://www.wvgazettemail.com/news/education/a-look-back-at-the-wv-public-school-employees-strike/article_c0dcd2db-4017-5bcd-b433-6b3afb6c3d57.html

The article and video both say part 1; part 2 will be released next Sunday,
so stay tuned.

If anyone else has other materials from the West Virginia strike you've
found useful, please share!

In solidarity,

This was a good example of one aspect of story coverage — the labor history of the region, which seemed to be rediscovered by reporters as descendants of miners among the teachers made the generational connections clear.
