THE DEPARTMENT OF INTEGRATIVE STUDIES (INGS)invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in Organizational Leadership. This appointment is a nine (9) month position beginning August 15, 2023.
RESPONSIBILITIES include teaching undergraduate courses associated to organizational leadership in an online format; supervising students completing practicum and internships; advising organizational leadership majors; engaging in scholarly research and publication and presenting research at professional association meetings related to organizational leadership; seeking external funding to further research; engaging in professional and community service through cooperative work in community and university partnerships; and working collaboratively with INGS faculty to promote, develop, and grow the organizational leadership program.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS include:

  1. an earned doctorate in Organizational Leadership or a closely related discipline with a defined concentration in organizational leadership (e.g., business management, organizational development, organizational behavior, community leadership, entrepreneurship, human resource management, healthcare administration and management, project management, labor and industrial relations, or public administration). If the doctorate is in a related discipline, the concentration must include 18 graduate semester hours completed in organizational leadership. ABDs will be considered;
  2. evidence of an emerging/cohesive research agenda including scholarly productivity in peer-reviewed academic journals;
  3. evidence of / plan to seek external funding for research and training grants;
  4. demonstrated experience in providing online instruction to undergraduate students;
  5. demonstrated experience in advising and mentoring undergraduate students;
  6. evidence of (or potential) building collaborative partnerships with community partners;
  7. evidence of collaboration with faculty/peers across disciplines;
    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS include:
  8. practical experience in providing organizational leadership in non-profit, for-profit or public organization;
  9. expertise in empirical research methods, quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods; and/or
  10. experience in conceiving, writing and submitting grants to public and private funders.
    THE DEPARTMENT OF INTEGRATIVE STUDIES currently has two full-time tenure track faculty, two non-tenure track instructional faculty, and one staff member. Undergraduate degree programs are offered in Interdisciplinary Studies and Organizational Leadership.
